Before you book

In September 2026 a guest was moved to another boat during maintenance and saw Lan Ha Bay instead of the Bai Tu Long route. Ask the seller which boat and route your dates get.
You meet at the operator's office in Ha Long at 11:30 and board by tender; day 3 ends at 12:00 at a Hon Gai pier. The listing names neither place, so ask the seller for both.
Not included: the $25 return shuttle from Hanoi (08:00-08:30 pick-up), drinks, a $170 single supplement and a $35 charge the operator calls government VAT. Peak season (1 Oct-30 Apr) adds $20.
The listing requires a valid passport on the day of travel and accepts a copy. Not suitable for wheelchair users: boarding is by tender and Thien Canh Son is a climb up stone steps.
Storms can close the bay at short notice, mostly June to September. Free cancellation ends 24 hours before departure, so ask the seller before you book whether a closure gets you a new date or a refund.
