Before you book

Only one of the two nights is on the boat: night one is in a bungalow in Ninh Binh. The limousine from the Old Quarter (07:20-08:00 pick-up, back about 15:00 on day 3) is included.
Day 1 ends with a climb the listing puts at 500 steps to the Mua Cave viewpoint, and Thien Canh Son on day 3 is another climb up stone steps.
Not included: drinks, tips, a US$85 single supplement, holiday surcharges and, by the listing's meal plan, dinner on the Ninh Binh night. Peak season (1 Oct-30 Apr) adds US$10, paid on the day.
The cruise boards at 11:40 at a Ha Long port the listing does not name; the afternoon is Vung Vieng by kayak or bamboo boat, or kayaking at Cap La. Bring your passport (a copy is accepted).
Storms can close the bay at short notice, mostly June to September. Free cancellation ends 24 hours before departure, so ask the seller before you book whether a closure gets you a new date or a refund.
